Breast Lift

Over the years, factors such as pregnancy, nursing, and the force of gravity take their toll on a woman's breasts. As skin loses its elasticity, the breasts often lose their shape and firmness and begin to sag. A breast lift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape your sagging breasts. Mastopexy can also reduce the size of the areola, the darker skin surrounding the nipple. If your breasts are small or have lost volume and are also sagging - for example after pregnancy - breast implants inserted in conjunction with mastopexy can increase the size and improve the shape of your breasts.

No two patients are the same, thus Dr. Volk will individualize your breast lift for you and your body. There is no one procedure that is best for all patients.

During your first consultation, Dr. Volk will evaluate your general health and examine your breasts. He will discuss what changes can be made to your breasts. Dr. Volk prefers to individualize each one of his patient's care and will discuss the variables that may affect your surgery - such as your age, the size and shape of your breasts, and the condition of your skin.
