Male Procedures

The number of male plastic surgery patients has steadily grown in the last few years as more and more men are seeking surgical and non-surgical methods of enhancing their appearance.

Though figures change slightly every year, most recent statistics reveal the following four surgical procedures to be the most popular among male plastic surgery patients: liposuction, surgery for gynecomastia (excessive breast tissue in men), eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), and nose reshaping surgery (rhinoplasty). The top non-surgical procedures in male plastic surgery include injections and laser hair removal.

Liposuction involves removing isolated excess fat deposits from any number of areas of the body including the face, neck and chin, the hip and thigh region, and the abdominal area.

Gynecomastia surgery involves the removal of excess glandular or fatty tissue from the breast area. It is most commonly performed using a combination of liposuction and direct excision of the excessive tissue.

Eyelid surgery involves removing excess fat and loose skin from either or both the upper and lower eyelid. This can reduce eye "droopiness," giving male plastic surgery patients a much younger physical image.

Male plastic surgery patients, who are unhappy with their noses or have some difficulty breathing through their noses, seek nose-reshaping surgery to enhance their facial features.
